Loungefly Celebrates National Polka Dot Day

Loungefly is known for their elevated take on fandom fashion, producing unique, pop-culture-inspired apparel and accessories. To launch the new Minnie and Daisy Pastel Polka Dot collection, Loungefly turned to us to deliver ‘A Perfect Day For Polka Dots,’ using National Polka Dot Day as the perfect opportunity to bring an eye-catching, polka dot-themed pop-up truck to the Grove.

 

Using our design team’s 3D renderings, we wrapped the glass truck exterior in multi-colored pastel polka dot vinyl, accentuated with color-coordinated balloon installations and a board showing a sneak peek of the line. The interior acted as an immersive, multi-dimensional showroom flaunting the Disney collection’s hoodies, backpacks, wallets, and headbands from built-in display shelves and frames. From the custom lemonade bar to the pink lounge couch, the goal was to weave together as many elements as possible to nod to the collection’s fun, bright, and nostalgic aesthetic.

 

Guests explored the collection while sipping on complimentary pastel lemonade with boba. As they shopped the collection available for purchase on-site or online, people were also offered the opportunity for a special photo-booth moment along with the chance to win special prizes from branded scratch-offs.

Impact

Across two days, Loungefly’s polka dot truck welcomed thousands of visitors, including special Disney influencers like @jayceekawaii, @magicwithangie, @messypink, @adventureswithtash, and @mackenziedudzik. Garnering roughly 5M impressions, this LA pop-up proved to be a massive success.
