Concept Development
From the brief to a concept that works on a sidewalk, not only in a deck. We design backwards from the single action you want a visitor to take.
Food Truck Promotions is an experiential marketing company that designs, builds, permits, and staffs mobile brand activations in 30+ cities across North America and London. We own the fleet and fabricate in our own shop, so one team is accountable from the first rendering to the day on the street.
Every experiential marketing service below is delivered by our own team, not subcontracted. Open any capability for what it includes, how we do it, lead times, and what to know before you brief us.
From the brief to a concept that works on a sidewalk, not only in a deck. We design backwards from the single action you want a visitor to take.
See the build before we build it. Every surface and every angle rendered for approval before anything is cut, wrapped, or installed.
Interior build-outs, counters, display walls, lighting, and props built in our own shop and fitted to a vehicle we own.
Full and partial wraps, interior graphics, signage, menus, and decals designed and installed by us, so the render and the street match.
Cups, sleeves, boxes, cards, and giveaways designed to be photographed, carried, and posted after the visitor walks away.
Menus, sourcing, prep, and health department compliance for sampling activations, from espresso and hot chocolate to full serves.
City permits, private property agreements, routing, and health sign-off, pulled by us for every stop in every market.
Brand ambassadors briefed on your product and your capture mechanic, not handed a script on the morning of the event.
Content captured on the day and amplified before, during, and after the activation so the reach outlasts the footprint.

Five steps, one team, and a real lead time at each one.
We start from the single action you want a visitor to take, whether that is a sample, a sign-up, a scan, or a sale, then design the experience backwards from it.
3D renderings you approve before anything is cut, wrapped, or built. What you sign off is what arrives.
Fabrication and wraps in our own shop on a vehicle we own. Custom interior builds typically add about three weeks to the timeline.
City permits, health department sign-off, and routing pulled by us, plus a crew briefed on your product. Permits are the long pole, usually six to eight weeks per market.
Servings, sign-ups, redemptions, dwell time, and earned media value reported against the goal set in the brief, tracked in HubSpot alongside the rest of your marketing.
Many experiential marketing agencies sell the concept and subcontract everything after it. Each handoff is a point where what you approved and what arrives on the day can diverge. We own the fleet, fabricate in house, pull the permits, and staff the activation with our own brand ambassadors, so one organization is accountable from the rendering to the street. If you are comparing a full-service experiential marketing firm against a broker, this is the difference that shows up on the day.
| FTP | A broker |
|---|---|
| Owns 10 vehicle formats | Rents a vehicle from a fleet operator |
| Fabricates in our own shop | Sends the build to a third-party shop |
| Pulls city and health permits | Hands permits to a local fixer |
| Staffs with our own brand ambassadors | Hires staff through an agency |
| One point of accountability | Four handoffs between you and the day |
Three activations, three different goals, each reported against the number that mattered.
Our Work
CALVIN KLEIN
An Airstream converted into a working cafe for two days on Spring Street. 7,500+ foot traffic and 5.1M social impressions, with a redemption card that walked visitors from the street into the store.
Calvin Klein x NY Magazine
LANEIGE x INNISFREE
A glass truck built as a glowing skincare space and routed from New York to Houston, with a gift-with-purchase redemption at every Sephora stop.
LANEIGE x innisfree Glow On-The-Go Bus Tour
GISOU
A honey-yellow truck dressed in florals and beehives at The Grove in Los Angeles, launching a lip oil ahead of its Sephora release with a private influencer day first.
GisouBeauty, fashion, food and beverage, technology, entertainment, nonprofit, and financial services brands use mobile brand activations to put the product in a customer's hand in the place they already are.
An activation reported in impressions alone is an anecdote. We design the capture mechanic in before the build, whether that is a QR scan, a code, a sign-up, or a redemption, and report the numbers that connect a street to a sale. Results are tracked in HubSpot alongside the rest of your marketing, so an experiential campaign is measured the same way your paid and organic channels are.
BRANDS WE HAVE BROUGHT TO THE STREET

An experiential marketing company designs and runs live, in-person brand experiences. At Food Truck Promotions that covers the creative concept, 3D renderings, custom fabrication, vehicle wraps, permits, culinary, staffing, social support, and measurement. The goal is a direct interaction between a customer and the product, reported against a number set in the brief.
A full-service experiential marketing company does the work itself. A broker sells the concept and subcontracts the vehicle, the build, the permits, and the staff to separate suppliers. Every handoff is a point where the result can diverge from what you approved. We own the fleet, fabricate in house, and staff with our own team.
Yes. We own ten vehicle formats, from tuk tuks and food carts to glass box trucks, double-decker buses, and Airstreams, and every one is built out in our own shop. Owning the fleet is what lets us commit to a rendering, because the vehicle you approve is the vehicle that arrives.
Permits set the timeline, not creative. Six to eight weeks is a realistic floor for a single market with a wrap on an existing vehicle. Custom interior builds add roughly three weeks, multi-city tours add two to six weeks, and November and December dates need extra margin. The earliest step is the permit.
We activate in more than 30 cities across the United States and Canada, plus London. New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and Toronto are the most frequent, and mobile tours route a single build through multiple markets. The vehicles travel to wherever your customers already are. See our locations page for the full list.
Cost depends on the vehicle format, whether the build is a wrap or a custom interior, the number of cities, the length of the activation, and staffing. A single-market pop-up with a wrapped vehicle sits at the lower end, and a multi-city custom tour at the upper end. We scope against your goal first, then price.
We design the capture mechanic before the build and report servings and interactions, sign-ups and QR scans, code redemptions, dwell time, earned media value, and cost per acquired customer against the goal in the brief. Results are tracked in HubSpot, so an activation is measured alongside your paid and organic channels rather than in isolation.
Yes. Our location procurement team pulls city permits, arranges private property agreements, and secures health department sign-off for sampling in every market we activate. Permits are the longest lead item on any activation, which is why we file them first and build the rest of the timeline around them rather than the other way around.
