Dietz & Watson has been Philly proud since 1939, and as an official Eagles sponsor, they created “Bird Dogs” to show their support during the 2023 playoff season. Because they love Philly, the Eagles, and hotdogs (of course), Dietz & Watson turned to us to execute a mobile tour that would successfully bring “Bird Dogs” to rowdy hometown fans all over Philadelphia.
We created the “Bird Dog Truck,” an Eagles-green food truck that would make its way around Philadelphia offering complimentary Classic or Spicy Cheddar “Bird Dogs,” delicious beef franks topped with long hots, provolone, and crunchy fried onions served in a green bun, as well as free Dietz & Watson x Eagles T-shirts and beanies.
After making its debut at Drexel University, the Dietz & Watson “Bird Dogs Truck” went on to feed Eagle fanatics at the Comcast Center Campus, Big Nick’s Deli, Acme Grocery Store, and Rittenhouse Square where two Eagles alumni Brent Celek and Seth Joyner made special appearances along with a performance from the Eagles drum-line. Announcing upcoming activations on social media for people to follow along, The Dietz & Watson truck then headed over to Lincoln Field to feed even more fans, stopping in more than 10 locations over 8 activation days.
Dietz & Watson’s mobile tour fed thousands of hungry fans, proving that the only thing better than cheering is cheering with a belly full of Dietz & Watson “Bird Dogs.” With appearances on CBS and Fox 29 and the help of special influencers, the Bird Dog Truck garnered over 5M brand interactions and brought a little extra Philly kick to help the Eagles fly all the way to the Super Bowl.
