ShopRunner is an e-commerce service that connects top brands with online shoppers by providing premium services like free 2-day shipping, free returns, and other exclusive benefits. To promote the platform, ShopRunner collaborated with Coach, one of the many iconic retailers in their network, as well as our experiential marketing agency to put on an unforgettable Mother’s Day pop up. ShopRunner came to us wondering how to bring greater awareness around their service using the experiential approach. After getting to know more about their brand, we decided that Mother’s Day was the perfect occasion to gain subscribers, coming up with the idea to #GiftMomBack by giving out free, branded flower bouquets via a limited-time pop up. Our thought was that this holiday in particular gave us the opportunity to wrap a food truck in a festive, attention-grabbing vinyl and use the elegant, upscale leverage of Coach to attract consumers to the platform with an exciting giveaway.
What began with an idea to #GiftMomBack turned into a Mother’s Day pop up with a massive line formed around the corner of Prince and Broadway in Soho, New York. People came and went over the span of three days, signing up for the ShopRunner app through a QR code and, in return, receiving their beautiful flower bouquets from one of our brand ambassadors. From photo-ops to special moments between friends and family, this turned out to be an experience that people will come to remember and cherish for years.
With our creative, experiential approach, the ShopRunner x Coach Mother’s Day pop up succeeded in creating new and long-lasting brand-to-consumer relationships. The branded truck garnered 17,000 impressions, of which a significant 15% of people engaged and signed up for the ShopRunner service. This means that about 2,500 new subscriptions were created over a short 3 day activation! We are beyond excited by the way Food Truck Promotions, Coach, and ShopRunner came together to execute this Mother’s Day brand activation and look forward to many collaborations like this in the future.
